A local-first field guide and quiz app for learning common trees of the North Carolina Piedmont.
The current app uses mock data while the database, image storage, and admin workflows are being designed. Planned image sources include USDA/USFS, research-grade iNaturalist observations, NC State Extension, and other curated sources with clear licensing.
Images will be stored locally first for Raspberry Pi hosting, with stable storage keys so the same dataset can move to Cloudflare R2 later without rewriting database records.
